A Family-Owned and Operated Water Company for Three Generations
Angelo Water Service opened its doors in 1944. Larry Gayler became the first-generation owner in September 1978. In 1992, his son Greg became a partner. Larry has since passed, but Greg continues to own and operate the original location in San Angelo and with Larry’s granddaughter / Greg’s daughter, Jacque Gayler Thweatt, and her husband, Josh, along with the Abilene Water Service, purchased in September 2017.
AWS has a long history of passion for and community involvement in water quality solutions.
Angelo Water Service was among the founding dealerships of the Texas Water Quality Association (TWQA). Along with TWQA, Angelo Water is a member of the International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) and Water Quality Association (WQA). Larry and Greg have each served multiple terms as President of the TWQA, and Greg remains the Treasurer of the organization.
In addition, Greg has served on the Culligan Dealer Advisory Council (DAC) for six years. He has also served the San Angelo Rotary Club Board and San Angelo Food Bank, among others.
Jacque and Josh are proud to serve the Big Country Home Builders Association and participated in the American Cancer Society. Jacque is involved with the Abilene Chamber of Commerce Business Council, Friends of the Abilene Public Library, and Josh is a member of Culligan Dealers of North American Next Generation Committee.
This rich commitment to water quality drives the Gayler/Thweatt family to educate Texans in the Concho Valley and Big Country areas about their communities’ water and to deliver customized solutions for their specific needs. They serve dozens of commercial markets and a growing residential base.
“We would love to serve you and your family with clean, great-tasting Culligan Water!”
